The Japan Racing Association chooses Röwer & Rüb quality

The horses of the 2020 Olympic riders will be standing in horse stalls supplied by Röwer & Rüb. The Japan Racing Association is responsible for the accommodation of the horses at the upcoming Olympic Summer Games and has chosen know-how and quality from Germany.

This year Japan will be hosting the Summer Olympics from 24 July to 9 August. The riding competitions start with dressage, continue with the eventing competitions and will be followed in the final week by the jumping competitions.

The Japan Racing Association will be taking care of the optimal accommodation of the horses. The JRA installed a total of 338 stalls of the "Verden” model. All stalls have also been equipped as outdoor stalls with stable doors. The strict quality requirements were already obvious from the outset. The Japanese delegation came to Thedinghausen on several occasions during which all details were discussed, the horse stalls, stable doors and windows were examined and the production facilities were thoroughly inspected.

Horse stalls for the Olympic Games

The stables will continue to be used after the Olympic Games. Race horses will then move into the stalls. This ensures sustainable use of the horse stables.

This is already the second time that Röwer & Rüb has been invited to supply horse stables for the Olympic Games. During the Games in 2008 in China, the company supplied 248 new stalls to Hong Kong, where the riding competitions were held. Today, these stables are still also predominantly inhabited by the race horses of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

It only remains for us to wish all athletes, both two-legged and four-legged, much success at the upcoming events. We would like to thank the organisers for the confidence they have placed in our company, their great cooperation with the team on site and also the members of our team for the effective planning and implementation.

Fifteen nations and 47 individual riders have qualified for the dressage events, 20 nations and 64 individual riders for the jumping competitions as well as 15 nations and 63 individual riders for eventing. We have compiled a list of the nations that will participate in the equestrian competitions of the 2020 Summer Olympics.
