Röwer & Rüb produces higher horse stables

To ensure the safety of large horses, we are now also producing our popular Verden and Hamburg stable fronts in a new height of 2.45 metres.

Individual solutions for special challenges

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture issues guidelines for the assessment of equestrian facilities from an animal welfare viewpoint. The current edition of these guidelines recommends that the running rail for sliding doors should be 1.4 times the height of a horse's withers. This prevents horses getting caught on the top edge and becoming injured as a result. To do justice to this, we manufacture the stable fronts in Thedinghausen with a higher dimension of 2.45 metres. “Animal welfare as well as horse-friendly accommodation and management are at the heart of all our further developments,” explains Niek Wolters, product developer at our company. We are the first horse stable manufacturer to offer this new height for sliding doors.

A particular challenge was to develop the new height in such a way that it would still be possible for logistics companies to transport the individual components without major inconvenience. For this purpose, our Röwer & Rüb technicians developed a boltable top tie that circumvented the problem. “We are proud to be able to deliver the stable fronts to our customers shortly after the order is placed," comments Mr Wolters. Larger quantities are also possible.

On the Verden and Hamburg models, the doors can be mounted on the right or left as desired. The modular design allows the integration of feeding equipment with complete flexibility. The fronts are galvanised and can also be powder-coated in a colour of your choice.
